Jellicle Levels Remain Constant

Jellicleness

Patch O'Black, local Jellicle cat, has been doing his job well according to sources. Levels of Jellicleness, as measured in the Rose Garden, have remained at or above nominal levels for the past three months.

Jellicleness is a feeling of happiness and good cheer. Although hard to define, it is like art, "You know good art when you see it," says Poinsetta, local vixen. Jellicleness too is something that that you either know or don't know. Nonetheless, the constant aura of it has permeated the Rose Garden, and most everyone has felt its benefit.

One exception has been Carl, local crab. Carl said, "Who cares about this Jellicle stuff? I'm more worried about being sprinkled with Old Bay and eaten by a ball of fluff. How come this 'Jellicleness' stuff doesn't do something about that fluff wanting to eat me all the time?" Butterfluff declined to comment, only noting that there were more spices in the world than Old Bay.

When asked what it is that Patch O'Black does to sustain such high levels of Jellicleness, he said, "I attribute it to a good supply of marshmellows, hugs, and lots of singing and dancing."

Patch assured this reporter that he has no intention of reducing his efforts to keep Jellicle levels high.

Interview with Cye

The idea for an interview column was one I had about a week and a half back. The idea was that I (or someone else on the MUCK) would interview a different Spindizzy character each week. That way, we could all get to know each other better, and learn little-known facts that don't come up in every day conversation. If you'd like to do an interview for next week, go ahead (just be sure to tell me first so I don't do one too!).

The first interview is with Cye, Spindizzy's beloved 50 ft vixen. Enjoy!

Adara purrs, "OK Cye, I'm going to access your description first, just for the record so that all the readers can see."

**As you look up way up at this towering figure, a morpic female fox to be exact, you guess she is close to about 50ft tall! She has a light reddish brown hair covering her entire body. Today she is wearing a light white t-shirt with the words I.A.C, I am cute on the front of it. Cye's average-sized chest stretches the shirt a bit. She is also wearing fitting green-coloured shorts that are cut off just above her knees. Her 3 reddish furred tails stick out the back of the shorts, each with a white patch at the tip. The claws on paws are blacktippped, and her ears have a touch of black on the top of them. Be careful and don't get stepped on okay?**

Adara takes out a pen and paper, "OK, we'll start with the basics. Do you have a full name, Cye?"

Cye says, "Nope, just Cye."

Adara purrs, "Hmm, OK. About what age are you?"

Cye hmms crossing her arms. "That a toughie... I say about 16 years physically anyway.."

Adara looks up, "So...were you born 50 feet tall? Or did something happen that made you that way?"

Cye says, "I started out normal size like everyone else but around by 14 years I had a major growth spurt. Don't know why though and then, well, it stopped."

Adara purrs, "Interesting..."

Adara purrs, "Is it hereditary?"

Cye says, "No idea. I never knew my birth parents, nor have I met other of my 'race' if I have one."

Adara purrs, "I guess so. I mean, you *are* the only 50 ft 3-tailed Vixen I've ever seen"

Adara looks up from her notepad, "When and how did you first discover Spindizzy?

Cye nods. "Random Dimentional Portal Spell."

Adara purrs, "Really? Under what circumstances?"

Cye says, "Just something I got from a friend. It's on a scroll I have. "

Cye says, "I've done my fair share of travelling. Not many places one of my size can stay for very long.."

Adara purrs, "Did they kick you out for being so large, or were they just not able to accommodate you?"

Cye says, "Sometimes the former, sometimes the latter."

Adara makes a few marks, "I see". She flips over to the next page. "What is your favorite place in Spindizzy and why?"

Cye hmms. "That's a toughie... Probably the Rose Garden.. Surprisingly spacious."

Adara purrs, "Who on Spindizzy do you admire, or look up to the most?"

Cye giggles. "Not many people I can look up to.. Probably Terra. *n.n*"

Adara purrs, "How come?"

Cye says, "I don't know. She was just so nice to me when I first came here.. "

Adara copies that down, "So, do you have any hobbies, anything you're passionate about?

Cye says, "Does thwarting Mort count as a hobby?"

Adara purrs, "Sure! It's one of my favorites."

Adara purrs, "OK, well, I guess that'll about wrap it up."

Adara purrs, "Thank you so much for your time"

Cye nods. "Okay. It was very enjoyable! Thanks!

Bearing Up

Ba'ar.Welcome to latest edition of Bearing up, the advice column where Ba'ar (That's me!) has answers to your most challenging questions.

Dear Bearing Up,
why does fur sometimes turn grey? Signed Old Grey Mare

Dear Old Grey Mare.
The grey in your fur is covered by coloring. When you grow older, the coloring fades and the grey fur shows up. I hope this helps.

Dear Ba'ar:
How much could a puppy be expected to chew on at 8 mo.? I've been told they explore the world with their mouths. However, mine just proved he could get through part of an alarm clock, a cat5 cable, a shoelace, his leash, some random plastic, and a belt. - C.

Dear C:
Puppies get into practically everything. What you need to do is to watch your dog a little bit closer, maybe even take it to obedience classes so it can learn good manners. Good luck.

Dea Ba'a
My " " key is b oken. So what should I do? From obert

ear obert.
Gt urself nother kybrd. Good lck.

Dear Bearing Up,
I need a great announcer and side kick for my show from Heaven. Who should I choose? D. Ceased

Dear D. Ceased.
Look up Don Wilson, Jack Benny's announcer. He was one of the best.

Dear Bearing Up,
I have three nephews. What is going to be the hot toy evey kid will want for Christmas this year? D. Duck

Dear D. Duck.
How should I know? I'm no kid. Ask your three nephews. They should know.

Hey Ba'ar,
Do bears really dance? Tap Shoes R Us

Dear Tap Shoes Are Us:
We don't really. We're too big and too heavy to do much dancing.

Dear Ba'ar,
Will you loan me $1,000,000 please? D. Trump

Dear D. Trump.
I will, if you loan me $1,000,000 first.

Remember possums (to steal a term from Dame Edna ;-D), if you have any questions, please page mail me (Ba'ar) online or send mail to big_bear@operamail.com. Thanks.

Weekly Survey

Argon doing the survey. This week, as suggested by Butterfluff, Argon asked, "What movie scheduled to open in the next month and a half do you think you will enjoy most?"

  • Gilead chirps, "Is anyone going to answer anything other than "Lord of the Rings: Return of the King"? Besides Saruman, that is."
  • Butterfluff says, "I think I might like the Last Samurai."
  • Findra -- I think the film I'll enjoy most is going to be The Return of the King.
  • Kefan can't wait to see Looney Tunes: Back In Action. Looks fantabulous. :)
  • Tarka says, "Argon.. "Master and Commander... Makes me want to distroy everything. Boom!"
  • Tanuki barks, "The Lord of the Rings movies... are well executed considering what they are, but really I've just been along for the ride, I haven't looked forward to any of them."
  • Borris says, "Return of the King."
  • Kefan says, "Probably 'Looney Tunes: Back in Action'. Marvin is da man! ...er, da Martian! Everything I've seen and heard, it looks like Dante is personally channeling Termite Terrace."
  • Casandro says, "Unser Traumschiff. I don't even know when it'll come out. It's a Star trek parody.""
  • Sunshine -- Return of the King, of course! Legolas is one cute bowslinger! I hope I look as good as him when I'm his age. ;)

Guidelines and Procedures for Submitting Articles

Submitting a story or artwork for @Action News is easy! Just send it to newspaper@spindizzy.org or qmail or page Argon about it.
@Action News is published weekly on or after 12:01 AM Eastern Time on Monday. Most any type of story or article will be accepted. Generally, we'd prefer things that aren't out and out lies or flames about other folks, and have a basis in the reality of SpinDizzy. Things that occur in public areas are fair game. The things reported don't have to have actually happened, (any more than anything that happens here does) but make sure you don't overstep the social boundaries and rules of interaction that we have. These are pretty broad guidelines, but we expect good sense to apply.

Thanks! Argon, Editor @Action News
