Here's hoping that all the Men and Women involved in the war in Iraq come home safely. Whether you agree or disagree with the reasons they are in harm's way, keep them in your thoughts and, if so inclined, your prayers.

To respect the wishes of folks who come to SpinDizzy to get away from Real Life, and leave the cares and worries of that world behind, it has been unofficially understood by most folks to not discuss the war in the Rose Garden. Although this has just been an agreement between the regulars, and has no official enforcement, it seems to have made it more comfortable for those who don't want to be reminded of it, and reduces tensions between those with differing opinions.

Thanks for going along with what, so far, seems to have made life easier and more pleasant for everyone.

Argon

Earlier in the week, Mouser drove his Li'l MCS though a death defying Hot Wheels stunt track!

Argon, local Centaur helped set it up while Cye, local 50 foot Vixen held the death defying loop in place. After a quick checkup of the car, Mouser revved the engine and began racing his car down the track, quickly shifting gears and getting up to full speed. Everyone watched in suspense, wondering if the Li'l MCS had the power to overcome gravity. And it did!

The car took the loop and then became airborne, the wheels leaving the track. Everyone gasped, wondering if this was the end. But Mouser’s luck held out and the momentum of the car carried it the rest of the way, landing on the track with a THUD! Mouser kept the car in control bringing it to a stop at the end of the track. Everyone cheered, glad to see Mouser safe and congratulating him on the success of his stunt. The only damage to the car was the tires losing some air pressure. Argon had an old-fashioned bicycle air pump, which KevMan, local Bibreed, and the only one of the right size and Humanoid shape present to operate, used to fill the tires and return them to their proper pressure.

Mouser took his accolades with grace and humility, and presently drove home, spinning the steering wheel of his Li’l MCS to thread it between the cheese statues and towards his home.

After looking at the Spindizzy webpage one evening, I noticed that our Who's Who is quite out of date. Some of the people on there don't even exist on the MUCK anymore! So I obtained permission from Argon to create a new Who's Who. I'll leave everyone who's currently on there on the WW, except for those whose characters no longer exist. Here's where you come in. I need everyone who wants to be in the Who's Who, or everyone who is currently in it and wants to change their information, to page or mail me. Please provide me with a picture of your character and the following information (not necessarily in the format below; a simple paragraph works too!)

• Character's age. (an approximation is good)

Bones hooked up a fire hose to a giant vat of liquid cheeze and pointed it erratically at those still making the lemur jokes "DON'T MAKE ME DO IT! I'LL DO IT! I'LL SPRAY THE WHOLE ROSE GARDEN WITH LIQUID CHEEZE!" he shouted as hetwitched slightly. Bones continued to point the hose erratically around the rose garden "NO MORE OR I'LL CHEEZE YOU ALL! YOU'LL NEVER GET THE SMELL OF CHEEZE OUT OF YOUR FUR! NO MORE! STOP IT!" He shouted.

Bones screamed in hamster-rage and insanity and pulled back the bar on the fire hoze, sending a large stream of liquid cheese spraying wildly around the rose garden, Because Bones was too small to control it, liquid cheeze began to cover everything within range!

Bones then cackeled insanely asthe cheeze flew towards Furi and Carlos and everyone else within a good range, "TASTE MY CHEEZY FURY!" Bones shouted.

Bones chirbled, "JUST YOU WAIT! THAT CHEEZE WILL COOL AND HARDEN! AND YOU'LL BE STUCK IN THE CHEESE FOREVER! MUWAHAHAH!" Which is exactly how the cheese statues came to be in the Rose Garden.

Every other week, I will be calling attention to the new members of our community. (Editor's Note; ...with the permission of each of the new folks featured, of course. Folks who don't want to be featured in this series, will of course, have that wish fufilled.) This is not to embarrass them, but rather I do it in the hopes that it will encourage everyone to give them a special welcome and friendship.

This cheap postcard looks we received looks like it was made from cardboard, crayons, and a piece of duct tape that is apparently supposed to be a stamp. On the front is a naturally poorly drawn image of what looks like a squashed mushroom. On the other side was Slug's message; his handwriting was completely illegible and it took our staff about three hours to translate it!

Slug writes, "All's well, except for that part about being in one of the last places I'd rather be. At least the sun is out now. I am well past the halfway point in my training and I will be back eventually. I can't wait to leave this place! Well, I'll let you guess where I am from the postcard. I'll give you a hint, though. I am in the US visiting the state of Misery, but I am in a pretty good mood aside from that."
