Newswire Nyx and Morticon get into fight!
Next Story
Morticon, leader of the SED, and Nyx, local Huntress (Canine/Feline hybrid with wings), were caught fighting in Centaur Square earlier this week.  Nyx, who is firmly opposed to anything evil, met up with Morticon by chance.  Being the leader of the SED, or the Society of Evil Doers, Morticon infuriated Nyx into an actual fight!
While Morticon fought valiantly for a bioengineered wallaby, Nyx was bigger, stronger, and faster, giving her the advantage.  Argon, local centaur, split up the fight before it got more serious than Morticon getting a few cuts and a hurt leg.  Nyx suffered only a minor temporary cut to the back of her neck.
Additionally, Argon commented that, "I am almost ashamed to admit that I enjoyed watching Nyx nearly make Wallaby patties out of Morticon.  The fact that this occurrence happened in Centaur Square, which is a place for quiet conversation, polite debate, and for the meeting of friends and the opportunity to make new ones, forced me to bring a halt to this altercation.  Perhaps Nyx may find opportunity to complete her 'discussion' with Morticon in an area more suited for bloodshed."
Argon Argon Asks For Input On Website
Next Story
Argon, local Centaur, is asking for opinions and input on the muck's website.  Located at http://www.spindizzy.org , It has looked the same for almost a year now.  The logo, originally designed by B.J., Amy, and a Raccoon who asked not to be identified has been updated by Kendra.
In light of the nice look of the new logo, several folks have found time to respond to a request for ideas to give the website a better look and develop a theme for it.  Terra, Jackal, Kendra, and Boki produced prototype pages incorporating these ideas which can be accessed via the following URLs:

Check out these prototypes for the new site or share your ideas and suggestions either on the main bulletin board or by p #mailing Argon.  As the site represents our community, all of us should decide how SpinDizzy is presented to the world.
Argon Zombie/Puppet Creation Directions Posted
Next Story
Have you ever wanted to have a Puppet, but thought the commands and intricacies of making one were just too hard?  Well, the answer to your dilemma is here.  Thanks to Tarka, Morticon, and Google.com, I have prepared step by step instructions for creating basic zombies/puppets and posted them at  /kulan/zombies.htm
Following these instructions will result in your having a zombie/puppet that can do most everything a player can, with some restrictions.  Other actions and properties can be associated with it just as can be done with any other object.  Have fun!
Kulan Slow News Week Due to Thanksgiving

Due to the extended holiday this week, which involved many players visiting family and friends and thus giving their computers a break, not much news of note occurred in the land of Spindizzy.  Everything is expected to go back to normal next week.
As always, everyone is encouraged to submit articles to the paper.  Please note there are  less rules and regulations now for posting making it easy for just about anyone to get published.
@Action News Info Guidelines and Procedure for Submitting Articles

>> Procedure for submitting an article:
 *  The newspaper building is located at Role Play Central (rpc).  When you
enter the building you will see a bulletin board.

 *  Go ahead and 'write' your story.  If you decide you don't want to write
one, hit .abort and forget about it.  Otherwise page 'newspaper' alerting
us that you wrote one when you finish pasting it in.

 *  An alternative to this is to page #mail newspaper with your story OR
email it to newspaper@spindizzy.org

 * We will edit it and tell you where you can look at it to make sure it wasn't mangled.  You can then p #mail the editor involved saying that it is ok.  Otherwise, suggest changes that should be made. If you trust the editors feel free to put something to the effect that you pre-approve the editing in your rough draft.

 * That's it!  It'll appear in the paper!

>> Guidelines for writing articles:

When writing articles for the paper...

 * Try and do some proofreading before submission.  That means spell check!
However, if you're no good at that sort of stuff, just send it as-is and the
editors will try their best.

 * No articles whose sole purpose is to flame someone.  You can use the SpinDizzy BB for
that ;)

 * Please strive for accuracy.  If they have time, the editors may check up on some of the quotes and perhaps the basic facts of the article.  Otherwise, it is assumed you did your best to write an accurate article.  If this is abused and inaccurate things are complained about, stricter rules may be put in place.

* Submitting your article anytime on Friday evening through the normal publishing date (Saturday night) will usually waive your right to review the edited version because of time constraints.  You will be contacted and informed but if you cannot get on before the publishing deadline to check your article it will be published regardless UNLESS you specify otherwise.

 * The editors' decisions are final.  This is not a wiz ran paper so do not
complain to them.  We can be reached by paging 'newspaper'.

 * Just about anything is published, so be creative!  It can be IC views on
RL topics, RPs that occurred around the MUCK, or most other things you can
think of.  You have creative license when it comes to documenting RPs, so
feel free to expound on the action, etc.  If you aren't sure if a story is
acceptable, page 'newspaper' and find out! :)

 * The AUP applies, so keep language and content acceptable.
  The End
